Session 2: Boundaries, Perfectionism, and the Power of "No"
As Activity Professionals, the pressure to do it all—and do it perfectly—can quietly sabotage our time, focus, and well-being. This session dives into the emotional roots of procrastination, perfection paralysis, and the fear of disappointing others. Participants will explore how blurred boundaries and unrealistic expectations drain productivity, and they’ll gain practical tools to say no with confidence, set healthy limits, and overcome self-imposed obstacles to effectiveness.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Identify the connection between perfectionism, procrastination, and time mismanagement.
Recognize the emotional and cultural barriers that make boundary-setting difficult in caregiving roles.
Practice language for saying "no" without guilt or defensiveness.
