About the event

In the demanding world of senior care, time management isn't just about schedules—it's about energy, emotion, and intention. This session explores how feelings of inadequacy, guilt, and compassion fatigue quietly erode our sense of control and purpose. Participants will examine their internal and external time-wasters, reflect on how emotional intelligence impacts productivity, and learn strategies to realign priorities with personal and professional values. Walk away with a clearer understanding of how to manage your time without losing yourself in the process.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize how guilt, compassion fatigue, and emotional overwhelm impact time use in caregiving roles.

  2. Identify personal feelings of inadequacy and their connection to overcommitment or time mismanagement.

  3. Reflect on how high emotional intelligence can complicate boundary-setting and prioritization.

  4. Evaluate internal (self-imposed) and external (environmental/systemic) time-wasters.
