Session 3: Taking Back Your Calendar – Delegation, Planning & Making Time Visible
Too often, the most time-consuming parts of activity work—like shopping, budgeting, and scheduling—are invisible and undervalued. In this session, we’ll reframe those behind-the-scenes tasks as intentional, calendar-worthy work. More than that, we’ll explore how to shift the culture from “my activity program” to "the resident's activity program.” Participants will learn how to involve residents meaningfully in planning and evaluation, turning time management into a tool for empowerment, collaboration, and sustainability.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Convert invisible tasks into visible, scheduled activities.
Break down large responsibilities into manageable, calendared steps.
Identify tasks that can be delegated or shared with staff and residents.
