Technology Workshops

Technology is the new normal and Activity Professionals must be at the forefront of program development using technology. Particularly, as the baby boomers are flooding the market of Senior Living, Activity Professionals are expected to not only use technology in programming but teach technology to residents.

ActivTimes offers workshops and classes in the following topics:

  • Basic connectivity – connecting DVD players, laptops, cable boxes, specialized devices
  • Introduction to computer use – computer and internet navigation, file management, shortcuts
  • Beginner and Advanced Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Internet streaming, browsing, and navigating
  • Digital photo projects, books, memory tools, editing
  • Integration of technology into a program
  • Using technology in large group programming
  • Using technology in one on one programming
  • Technology for connection-video conferencing, social media, virtual volunteering
  • All things Apps!

Class will be offered continually throughout the year in the ActivTimes virtual classroom. Check the events calendar or for more information, contact us!
